Block chain is becoming more popular, so you should keep your skills up to date. There are a lot of blockchains, programming environments, programming languages, and other things like that. You need to decide what you want to do with what you learn about blockchain.

Having knowledge of web development, mobile app development, etc., helps because the front end will often be a web app or a mobile app.
